Ed Durand is a licensed architect with over 35 year’s experience. He is also a member of the American Institute of Architects, AIA – Minnesota, and Construction Specification Institute (CSI). Since joining RRTL in the mid 1990’s he has developed an extensive knowledge of higher education projects with expertise in science laboratory design. Over the years he has developed a working knowledge and understanding of Building Codes, application of Government Agency standards and the challenging technical aspects of the building envelope and built environment. Ed also coordinates the writing of technical specifications and project manuals, which includes various project delivery methods, for RRTL’s construction projects. As project manager Ed has taken several projects from concept design through completed construction, coordinating with Owner, Consultants and Contractor.
