This project sits on the shore of a lake near Cable, Wisconsin, as a bunkhouse to complement an existing modest log cabin. The existing cabin was too close to the lake for local zoning rules to allow any additions. The new bunkhouse was intended to counterpoint the existing cabin, with corrugated & galvanized steel siding, and angled walls & roof. Carefully placed windows provide privacy from the adjacent driveway, yet generous views to the lake and into the woods. The interior of the bunkhouse consists of a large bedroom/living space, a dressing room and bathroom. It is finished with large ceramic floor tiles, fir paneling, and an exposed wood roof structure – all installed with craftsmanship and an attention to detail.
